Create to Connect.

I create to connect with others in a way that matters.

A Heart for Learning

Growing up, I was fortunate to have an art teacher who taught me the basics so that I might one day have the skills to decide what kind of artist I would like to become. Her name was Miss Barbara at Children’s Art Classes and her curriculum prepared me for a life of adventure as an artist.  Though I did not study art at Berry College, I quickly found my artistic voice after I graduated. I am grateful to many current professional artists  for helping me rekindle my enthusiasm for art as I attended their workshops after graduation.

Find Your Artistic Voice.

Today, I am deeply passionate about helping others find their artistic voices by teaching classes and workshops all over Georgia. I serve on the leadership team with the Booth Artists’ Guild and I offer workshops and classes at the Booth Art Academy. I also offer classes and workshops in the studio and en plein air with The Quinlan Visual Art Center, Blue Ridge Arts Association, and Studio Siri. My home is in Rome, Georgia where miles and miles of trails inspire many of my paintings. More miles makes for more reference material.

I paint Faster Than I run.

The process of creating connects us to our Creator as we become more aware of the beauty in our surroundings, in each other, and in ourselves. By painting outdoors, I’m often able to bring two of my favorite groups of people together- trail runners and artists. Sometimes I’m the girl on the trail painting, and sometimes I’m the girl on the trail running.

Connect With Me
